Rex Rossi
World Champion Trick Rider 1950 & 1961, World Champion Trick Roper 1971 & Hall of Fame Movie Stunt Man, a career that spanned 60 years. Rex did the stunts in Bonanza, Gunsmoke and many western movies. Rex stunt doubled for Clint Eastwood, Kevin Costner, Jeff Bridges, Roy Rogers, and Bob Steele. Rex Rossi Trick rode at the Madison Square Garden in New York City for 19 consecutive years. Rex passed away on January 16, 2007 at the age of 87. He will be tremendously missed.
Jan Mendoza was extremely fortunate to train under Rex to learn to trick ride.
